MPTS 2026

We were proud to showcase our new hybrid production truck, Bessy at MPTS 2026. Over the two days, we had the opportunity to connect with broadcasters, production professionals, partners, and industry colleagues, sharing how Bessy represents the next step in FTVS's commitment to more sustainable and efficient outside broadcast solutions. The feedback we received was overwhelmingly positive, and it was fantastic to see so much interest in both the vehicle and the technology behind it. A huge thank you to everyone who visited our stand, took the time to meet the team, and joined the conversation. MPTS once again proved to be a brilliant event, bringing together some of the most innovative people and organisations in the industry. We're excited for what's next and look forward to seeing Bessy out on the road soon.

We're proud to have attended the SPARK: Clean Temporary Power by 2030 event at ITV, where our General Manager, David Watson, joined industry leaders as a guest speaker to discuss the future of sustainable power in film and television production.

The event brought together broadcasters, production companies and suppliers committed to accelerating the transition away from fossil fuel generators and towards cleaner temporary power solutions. SPARK provides a practical roadmap for achieving clean temporary power across the UK screen industry by 2030, focusing on reducing energy demand, adopting cleaner technologies and equipping productions with the skills needed to deliver meaningful change. David shared insights from the supplier perspective, highlighting the importance of collaboration, innovation and investing in the technologies that will help productions reduce emissions without compromising operational performance. It's inspiring to see the industry working together towards a shared goal, and we're pleased to be part of the conversation helping shape a more sustainable future for screen production. A proud milestone for the FTVS team as Bessy, our new hybrid energy solution truck, completed her maiden voyage supporting one of the UK's most iconic live events - Trooping the Colour.

Delivering reliable broadcast power in the heart of London requires absolute confidence in your infrastructure. Bessy was designed to provide exactly that, combining battery energy storage with intelligent power management to lower emissions, and minimise noise, while maintaining the resilience that major broadcast operations demand. The live transmission of Trooping the Colour was delivered using solely battery power and no fossil fuel. For her first deployment, Bessy supplied power to critical broadcast facilities covering this historic national event, demonstrating how sustainable energy solutions can support the highest profile live productions without compromising performance. This marks an exciting step forward in FTVS's commitment to helping broadcasters and production partners reduce their environmental impact while maintaining the reliability and flexibility that live television requires. A huge thank you to Claire Popplewell & the BBC Studios Events team for the opportunity to deliver a reliable hybrid power solution on such a prestigious event & everyone involved in the planning, engineering, logistics and operations that made Bessy's first outing such a success.
