Bessy our new hybrid energy solution truck, completed her maiden voyage supporting one of the UK's most iconic live events - Trooping the Colour. Delivering reliable broadcast power in the heart of London requires absolute confidence in your infrastructure. Bessy was designed to provide exactly that, combining battery energy storage with intelligent power management to lower emissions, and minimise noise, while maintaining the resilience that major broadcast operations demand. The live transmission of Trooping the Colour was delivered using solely battery power and no fossil fuel.
For her first deployment, Bessy supplied power to critical broadcast facilities covering this historic national event, demonstrating how sustainable energy solutions can support the highest profile live productions without compromising performance.Â
This marks an exciting step forward in FTVS's commitment to helping broadcasters and production partners reduce their environmental impact while maintaining the reliability and flexibility that live television requires.
